Piano

About

My love of music began at the age of eight when I started piano
lessons. I was awarded a scholarship at Trinity College of Music at
the age of 12. Nearly twenty years of teaching experience added to
having an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Teaching
Diploma has developed my holistic approach to teaching piano and
music theory. This has included teaching students from the age of
three to seventy. One of my oldest students who I taught from the
age of three now plays professionally at Danesfield House Christmas
Fayre. This is a lovely legacy of childhood learning. Some of my
students have participated in music festivals and been awarded
medals for their performances. I have also created piano and theory
workshops for all my students and includes a course created for
children with extra challenges in their learning such as dyslexia.

My patience is one of my biggest strengths and I enjoy teaching
anyone who wants to learn to play the piano from beginners to
Grade 8; both within and outside of formal grade progression.
Lessons are always fun and structured to help students realise their
full potential. I use my individually composed duets to supplement
learning for early stage students.
I have a wide range of musical interest from Bach to current day
repertoire.
