Andy Brown

Guitar & Ukulele

About

Andy has been playing since his early teens exploring many guitars styles in professional shows and studios and feels there is still so much more to discover.

He has toured the UK, Europe and India with theatre shows playing various instruments, though most of them had strings and the performance and presentation of pieces is an area that he can and does focus on for his pupils.

Andy’s approach is to facilitate the development of intermediate players by structuring practice and engaging players in expressing themselves musically.

With pupils new to the guitar a strong focus on mixing fun, solid technique and musical theory.

“I do feel its important progress you’re playing and graded awards are a good way to monitor and celebrate you journey.”

Andy works with established awarding bodies such as ABRSM, Trinity, RGT and RSL Grades are available.

He has studied with a number of finger style specialists including Clive Carrol and Martin Simson. (Do look them up). Recently he took some time to go over to Amsterdam to study with Robin Nolan and stepped into the world of Jazz Manouche and the virtuoso guitarist Django Rhiedhart.

Andy looks forward to supporting you on your musical journey and improving those guitar skills.
