About
Julia has had a lifelong passion for woodwinds and has been playing and performing on various instruments since the age of 6.
She has been teaching music for over twenty years from ages 4 to adult across a wide range of settings including classroom music, ensembles and preparation for ABRSM and Trinity exams in both classical and jazz and also music theory.
She has performed on wind instruments both solo and in various groups in a range of styles from classical orchestras to jazz ensembles. Since completing her Bachelor of Arts, Julia furthered her career by completing her PGCE at Roehampton University and has since been teaching at various schools and Arts organisations focusing mainly on the woodwind instruments saxophones (alto, tenor & soprano), clarinet and flute.
Julia teaches creatively and challengingly. She nurtures for the individual aiming to effectively maintain enjoyment and provides encouragement in the learning journey wherever it may lead to….
